TAKE NOTES LADIES! Mary and Haider live abroad and were visiting Truckee, CA for 2 nights. Mary reached out and told me she wanted photos of her proposing to Haider. This was my first lady-to-man proposal, and I can't wait for the next.
PLANNING: I sent Mary my Location Recommendation Map and she chose the Donner Lake Overlook for the proposal. I helped with logistics by sending her parking info, a back up plan / location, and details about where I'd be what I look like. I scouted the location the night before and sent her a bunch of context photos.
PROPOSAL: I got into position looking like a typical Tahoe tourist taking photos at sunrise. I saw Mary and Haider arrive and they made their way to the rock I set up my tripod on. Mary asked if I could take their photo on her phone and as I grabbed it, she turned around and popped the question. Haider was absolutely shocked and giddy. They shared a special moment as Mary read him a handwritten card and I snapped away. Then, we caravanned 5 minutes to the Donner Lake Public Piers where some friends were waiting with a picnic setup. Champagne, laughs, and jiujitsu commenced.
